Rodrigo "Cumba"
Rodrigo, also known as "Cumba," has a deep connection with the ocean. Growing up in a family of fishermen in the small beach town of Tabuba, he developed a passion for surfing and fishing at an early age. While football was also present in his life, it wasn't his strong point.
Although he participated in local and interstate competitions with some of the best professional and amateur surfers, competition wasn't the driving force for Rodrigo. Instead, he found inspiration in pushing the boundaries of surfing and trying different maneuvers. With his friends, he became a transgressive surfer with a progressive and anti-systemic mindset, committed to experimenting with new and unconventional techniques on their boards.
Besides his love for surfing, Rodrigo is also a creative at heart. He enjoys creating music and editing videos, and he can often be found on the beach with a camera in his hand.
For Rodrigo, surfing is more than just a hobby - it's a passion that he holds close to his heart. He believes in the original roots of surfing as a personal expression of freedom, rebellion, and fun, and he strives to combine new techniques with the rhythm of the waves. If you're looking for a surfer who embodies the true spirit of the sport, you need to meet Rodrigo, aka "Cumba.”
